Izložba Zabok- molba za fotografije

Harski je u nedjelju bio na izlozbi u Zaboku. Neko vrijeme je sjedio na kavezu, potkraj dana mu je dosadila guzva te se preselio dva kata ispod, u udobnost svog, inače prezrenog,doma na kotačima. Imamo bebe i još novosti :)

Zbog problema s logiranjem neko vrijeme je blog stajao zapostavljen, ali i to se napokon riješilo.:) Imamo bebe, 4 mala preslatka mačića trenutno trčkaraju po stanu.  Da budem precizna do kraja, 3 trčkaraju, Ilmari sjedi meni u krilu i zabavlja se pokusavajuci mi uhvatiti prste šapom dok tipkam. Ilmari me jako podsjeca na Harskija kada je bio mali, i izgledom i temperamentom.  Jučer smo bili na izložbi u Zaboku, bilo je lijepo sresti drage ljude. Harski je imao priliku malo napuniti baterije i odmoriti od beba. Bio bi sretniji šetnjom u šumi, ali to ćemo odraditi sljedeći vikend. Dobra je dadilja, ali vidim da mu nedostaju dani kada je bio u centru pažnje i naša lutanja. Sada su bebe cijepljene i napokon možemo opet u skitnju bez straha. Nadam se da smo barem malo približili pasminu svima koje su interesirali ocicat mace. Imam molbu- ako imate slikice s izložbe na kojima je Harski, molim Vas da ih pošaljete na harski@gmail.com :)Uvijek nosim fotoaparat, ali nikako da nadjem vremena i nešto slikam. |

Očekujemo mačiće, 6.1.2009.

Harski ocicati očekuju svoje prve bebe. Ujedno i prve bebe ocicata na ovim prostorima.:) Očekivani datum je na Tri kralja, 6.1. Moramo priznati da smo jako uzbuđeni i jedva čekamo da upoznamo malene. Ullin partner je doputovao iz Engleske zbog druženja, izabrali smo ga ne samo zbog veličine i fantastičnog izgleda nego prvenstveno zbog toga što dolazi iz linije koja je čista od genetskih defekata. Watusijeva "mama" je poznata Američka veterinarka i autorica nekoliko knjiga o mačkama. Nadamo se da će maleni dobiti ljupkost i snalažljivost od mame, a veličinu i šarm od tate.  Ukoliko ste zainteresirani da povećate obitelj za jednog točkastog člana, pišite nam na harski@harski.net Napišite nam nešto o sebi, obitelji, ljubimcima koje ste imali ili imate...I ne zamjerite nam ukoliko postavimo puno pitanja, to samo znači da nam je stalo. Tu smo i da odgovorimo na sva Vaša pitanja. Sa svakim mačićem koji ode, odlazi i komadić našeg srca, jedino što nam može olakšati je saznanje da će u novom domu biti razmažen i pažen punopravan član obitelji. Nemamo leglo svake godine i postoji lista čekanja, ali da budemo iskreni, želja nam je da maleni ostanu čim bliže nama, tako da ih možemo još koji puta posjetiti. :) Dati ćemo prednost i potencijalnim vlasnicima koju su voljni ostati u kontaktu s nama. Harski ocicati- odgajani s ljubavlju za posebne ljude. |
Kittens expected, DOB 6th January
 Ulla is expecting kittens. She is a very special lady, independent but gentle and cuddly. She has a mind of her own sometimes but always likes to be close to people and cannot stay alone. She is very smart, learns with fascinating ability and rules the household with very soft and silky paw. She does not meow, but make a soft a bit goat like sound. I think her babies will be very special too, and I cannot wait to meet them. I hope all of the babies go to nice homes where they will be spoilt rotten and treated as real members of household. We have a waiting list opened, and even if we do not ship our babies, we will be glad to deliver them personally to new homes. Do not hesitate to write us if you are looking for a new addition to your family. And please do not mind if I ask all kind of questions, it only means that I care. In the end, it is a piece of my heart that will go away with each kitten to its new home. And the only thing that can make it bearable is knowing that they will be well cared for and have a happy life. |

I was away from my blog a while, with all the things I had to deal with it seemed at one point that I have started to spend more time writing about my cats than actually spending time with them...so I pulled up a break and let it all go for a while. In the end, my cats do come first, and after I have caught up Harski meowing and waiting for me to play with him, or spend some time with him, while I was writing posts about him on forums, or corresponding with other breeders or potential new kitten owners, I realized I have started to steal time from my cats to write about my cats. And it was absurd. But now things are back to their place slowly...and I can grab a moment to share some news. Ulla is pregnant, she has been dating a very lovely US gentleman who lives in UK now. I am grateful to my dear friend, Kerry from Chocolatedot who has made this possible for us. I must say that planning of Ulla's mating was a big burden on my back, if I knew how complicated it would be to find her a proper date I think I would have never gone in breeding...and if it was not for Kerry and her golden heart we would not be expecting kittens at the moment. I would like to thank to Dr. Norbert Hess too, for his kind help and homeopathy he provided to us, so that Ulla's heat was able to be regulated. I though once Ulla is pregnant, the biggest part of the work would be done...but just how naive and green I was. There is a list of kitten supplies we needed to find, and here looking for things for kittens is close to mission impossible. But I got by with a little ( or more than a little ) help of my friends. Heating blanket is on its way ( thank you, my ebay angel), we decided we do not need Nutridrops ( thank you grandma on kittens' parents side ), KMR milk bought ( Simona, thank you, thank you, thank you !), scale is on its way, as well as feeding bottles. I know we will not need them, but control freak in me can now sleep peacefully. At one stage I was all confused and in panic of things we need, and I am very grateful to the author of Natural Rearing notes for her help. Visit her blog here, it is well worth reading. http://www.blakkatz.com/nrn/blog/ It seems that the litter on its way is coming to teach me a big lesson...that all the help in the life we need is offered to us, and closer than we think. I have done my best to prepare my bedroom for kitten arrival ( yes, you know that you are a cat breeder when the most exciting event that year in your bedroom is kitten delivery :D) and it is almost done too. Some shelves are going to be fixed to the walls tomorrow, so big boys can escape from Gremlins; I have plans to make sisal tree and have 2 more shelves cut out at carpenter's ( yes, it is time for me to look for profesional help, so if somebody knows a good carpenter, just wave ) and then I can relax...for a while until kittens arrive. Expected DOB is January the 6th, on the day when we have a religious holiday, nobody works, and we celebrate the arrival of the 3 wise men. There is left to see if there will be any correlation with the kittens :) I have to comment on the date...I did not expect of Ulla nothing less than to have her babies in the mid of holidays...as she is doing her best to keep my adrenaline level high ever since she came. Pregnancy suits her, her coat is softer, her personality is gentler, she went from Sigourney Weaver in Alien to Kirstie Alley in Look who is talking. She has 3,5 weeks left, but her belly is already very big. Her appetite is changing too, she always ate for 2 cats, now she eats everything that is not lucky enough to move fast. I am feeding her the raw meat diet, she is the only one who has never accepted kibble or canned, and I let her follow her natural choice. I can see a difference between her and boys who have been transferred to raw as adults. We feed organically grown chicken, quail ( the most expensive meat is her favorite meat, of course!) and mice- which would be her only food if she could choose, but I cannot get them in sufficient quantity to satisfy her cravings ( a huge thanks to my dear friend and her scientific work ) She is excited about milk lately too, but until I can find organic goat milk I will not let her have some. |

Razmisljamo o prinovi

Razmisljamo o prinovi, ali odluka je odavno pala, necemo imati vise od 3 mace doma. Jedva smo nasli ravnotezu nakon dolaska Ulle, sada su decki i malena Miss Monroe sretna obitelj i ne zelimo narusavati sklad. Deckic je prekrasan, ima zelene okice i smedje tocke, prede, sjedi u krilu i spava ispod dekice, maza divljeg izgleda... razgovaramo s nekim prijateljima, ako sve prodje kako treba Harski ocicati ce dobiti svog prvog decka. Ako bi zeljeli ocicata, pisite nam, povremeno imamo mace za udomiti. Jedina zelja nam je da ostane blizu nas, u Rijeci ili okolici...drzite nam fige:) |

Here it is. Does't he look handsome? I am happy. And proud. Did I say grateful? I think no matter what I do I will never be able to repay Marjo for this big, strong willed boy who has coloured my life in warm colours. Enough talking, his story will come out in the new edition of OCIS magazine. It does not mean still you can stop visiting our blog and webpage in search for news:) Now when the star moment is declared, excuse me, I have a toilet to clean.:)  Thank you Boni for photo and Per for final adjustments. |

Here she is, Harski's sister. She was there during the Harski's photo session, and she wanted her piece of attention. So she was bringing us toys. Isn't she sweet. My little Finnish girl.  |
